The story of Gosaku Kuribayashi, the shipping magnate of the north who supported the development of Muroran, Hokkaido and Japan from the Meiji era to the Showa era in both business and politics.

Muroran VOX Theatre Performance 'The Iron Man' The Life of Kakugoro Inoue, the founder of Muroran's steel industry.

109 years ago, in 1910. A man was on board a ship leaving Muroran. He was a shrewd executive director of a coal mine, and later established a steel mill and a steel factory in Muroran. However, he was about to resign his position and leave Muroran, taking responsibility for the poor management.
Was what he did right? Kakugoro asks himself: "Was I doing the right thing? He is begged by Mine, the daughter of a businessman, whom he met by chance on board the ship, to come to Muroran and begin to talk about all that he has done.

'The World Congress'.

The World Series embodies on stage the questions and answers of how to survive in the future. In this first production, The World Conference, the ghosts of great men and women from different countries hold a conference to discuss the world. Seven male and female performers, including a Noh actor, dancer, actor and circus performer, live music by three musicians and stage design by contemporary artist Takashi Kuribayashi will set up the work.

Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project
'Kaze no Matasaburo 2016-ODYSSEY OF WIND'
▼ Overview.
The Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project was newly launched by Hiroshi Koike in 2011 after the dissolution of the world-renowned performing arts company Papa Tarahumara. The collaboration of artists from various genres such as shakuhachi, Noh, contemporary dancers and actors will create an "illusionary world"!

'The decorations are the flowers of the field, the tears of true love fall, the soil of the field.' The Shakespearean name of the Theatre Fortress, Mantenboshi was given by Yushi Odajima, one of the first Japanese translators of Shakespeare. This is the second in a series of regular performances of Shakespeare's works named after this name, which means to struggle out of the darkness and emerge to the full stars of the sky.
